NCL ICB invites PPGs to discuss NHS 10-year plan

NCL Wide

The Government is developing a 10-year plan to modernise health services to meet the changing needs of a growing population. Change NHS is NCL ICB's initiative to inform and influence this plan. The plan focuses on three key areas that the Government, health service, and experts agree need to happen.

This includes moving care from hospitals to communities, making better use of technology and focusing on preventing sickness, not just treating it.

There will be a brief introduction to NCL ICB, followed by a discussion of key issues raised in the plan, including:

  • what's needed to help people receive care close to their homes
  • attitudes to use of digital patient records
  • reviewing anonymised data to help us understand who might need care
  • using Artificial intelligence to help make services more efficient.

NCL ICB is hosting two online events to hear from local people. Both events are the same so they only need to join one:

Attendees will be sent a short email asking them to confirm which north central London borough they are based in, along with the agenda and a link to the online meeting. The meeting will be held on Teams and those attending do not need to download anything in advance in order to join.

Please share this invitation with your PPG chairs and members. Visit this link to find out more about the national consultation.
