NCL Digital Diagnostics Programme develops project to streamline radiology diagnostics

NCL Wide

The NCL Digital Diagnostics programme is promotes joined-up health and care records to provide access to important information at the point of care for the whole care team.

The programme team is working towards providing a mechanism for primary care requestors to connect into a single ICE system, in order to request radiology diagnostic services across NCL.

This project will take several months to complete, in two phases:

  • Data capture: to establish an NCL-wide patient demographic record and migrate existing radiology results reporting solutions to Clinisys ICE
  • Configuration: the clinical system will be updated with the relevant settings to enable the added functionality

Contact with all GP practices will start soon; in the first instance this is likely to involve:

  • assistance with configuring trading partner details in GP systems to enable radiology results reporting
  • beginning the capture of primary care user data for phase 2 of the project.

At this moment, no immediate action is required.
