Reminder: Diagnostic cardiology services at Finchley Memorial Hospital CDC

The cardiology service at Finchley Memorial Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) provides a range of services, assessments and diagnostic tests for adults who may have issues with their heart and blood pressure. The CDC is an adult-only service for patients aged 18+.  

The CDC offers an efficient and effective service to treat a range of heart-related symptoms. There is choice of diagnostic slots within a flexible seven-day service, operating Monday to Sunday 9am to 5pm. 

Diagnostic test Referral pathway
Electrocardiogram (ECG)     GPs have direct access to the bookings system for ECG’s, and blood pressure monitoring via the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS).
24-hour blood pressure monitoring GPs have direct access to the bookings system for 24- hour blood pressure monitoring via e-RS.
Echo Referrals made to acute site directing the request to cardiology clinic at the CDC.
Holter Referrals made to acute site directing the request to cardiology clinic at the CDC.
24-hr ECG Monitoring Tapes can be referred via e-RS.
48-hr ECG Monitoring Tapes and 72-hr ECG Monitoring Tapes are to be referred to an acute site.
(Available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 7pm)
