Fraud Alert: Fake invoices targeting GP practices

NCL Wide

NCL ICB counter fraud provider has been made aware of a new company name being used in the fraudulent invoice scam targeting GP practices. Although the invoice appears to come from a genuine supplier (Viking Raja Group), it includes payment details for a different company (Precision Supplies).

This follows a known pattern of fraud attempts where practices receive unsolicited deliveries (typically printer toner or other consumables), followed by an invoice demanding payment.

Do not pay invoices to Precision Supplies unless fully verified.

If you receive an invoice from Precision Supplies, do not make payment unless you can confirm that:

  • the goods were genuinely ordered by your practice
  • the goods have been received
  • the bank details are verified using your banking app’s Confirmation of Payee (CoP) function.

Do not make any payments to the following account.

  • Sort Code: 04-00-03
  • Account Number: 06927195

Take the following actions.

  • Flag any invoice requesting payment to Precision Supplies
  • Review all invoices carefully before authorising payments
  • Verify account details using CoP tools
  • Report any suspicious invoices to NCL ICB’s local counter fraud specialist (LCFS), Kirsty Clarke.

Help prevent further fraud. Remain vigilant, sharing this alert with colleagues and administrative staff can help prevent further incidents.
