NHS app

NCL Wide

The NHS App is patients’ digital front door to healthcare.

It can be used to book appointments, check symptoms, see health records, view Covid-19 vaccination records and act as a digital Covid-19 passport, order repeat prescriptions and manage organ donation choices.

In June 2022, 51% of NCL patients were registered on the NHS App, and over 16,000 prescription requests were made through it. This number is continually increasing.

It is available as an app to download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. It can also be used in a web browser.

Support for practices

NHS Digital has created a toolkit for practices to demonstrate how patients using the NHS App benefits practices.

The toolkit also provides support, advice and guidance to practice staff, enabling them to support patients in using the NHS App.

Creating a dummy account

By creating a dummy patient account for your practice, you will be able to view insights as to how your patients use the NHS App.

To set up a dummy patient account, please visit the NHS Digital website.
